Mobile banking in Abuja
OneWallet MFB is mobile banking for a microfinance bank in Nigeria: hold a wallet, move money, pay merchants, without a branch visit. I was the sole mobile engineer, leading a team of designers and one backend developer.
Standards, then the product
The architecture and the standards: MVVM with Zustand, coding standards for the team, features broken into ClickUp tasks. Then the product itself: authentication with biometrics and 2FA, the wallet, payments, instant bank-to-bank transfer, contactless QR payment, push notifications and internationalisation. TanStack Query handles server-state caching.
Security and the store release
Bank-grade security end to end: encryption, secure storage and token management. And the release itself: driving the production app through App Store and Google Play review.
From nothing to both stores
Took the app from nothing to live on both stores. Sentry monitoring gave the team crash and stability visibility they had never had.
